XXIV, 12 בָּאקֵי Ms. (Bxt. a. oth. בצי; corrupt. באהי; h. text יבין).—B. Mets. 84ᵇ בְּקִי באבוך וכ׳ (Yalk. Prov. 964 בַּקְרִי) find out what thy father is doing now. Pes. 3ᵇ בקי מאי דיניה Ms. M. (ed. בדוק) find out his ways and manners. Gitt. 69ᵇ ליבקי וכ׳ let one search for the body of one who died on a Sabbath. Koh. R. to XI, 2 (read:) עד דאינון בקיין תרין חיואן וכ׳ (strike out אזלון בעיין … ונפקין) while they were searching (for the grave), two serpents of fire &c.
