    Pa. - קַטֵּיף 1) same. Targ. Y. Lev. XXV, 11; a. e.—Lam. R. l. c., v. supra.—2) same. to break off, interrupt. Ab. Zar. 72ᵇ דקא מְקַטֵּיף קַטּוּפֵי (Rashi דמפסוקי פסוקי, read דמפסיק) he breaks off (the connection of the flow, withdraws the pouring vessel before the jet reaches the vessel into which the wine is poured). Ib. קַטְּפוּ קטופי (not קטפי; Ar. ed. Koh. קטיפתו) interrupt you the flow!
