נֶקֶר, (נָקַר I) bite, trace of a bite. Tosef. Ter. VII, 16 נ׳ בתאינה וכ׳ if there was a bite to be seen in a fig, and it shrivelled (v. גְּרוֹגֶרֶת,—which is an indication that it was not a serpent’s bite). Y. ib. VIII, 46ᵃ top מקום הנ׳ אכלו they (the birds) ate from a spot which had been bitten at (by a serpent); a. e.—V. נִיקּוּר.
