תּוֹרְבָּלָא, (v. בָּאלָא; = תור ברא, v. תּוֹר III) aurochs. Targ. O. Deut. XIV, 5 (ed. Berl. תּוּ׳; ed. Vien. תּוֹר־בָּלָא; h. text תאו; Y. תורי בר).—Ḥull. 80ᵃ (ref. to תאו, Deut. l. c.) מדמתרגמינן ת׳ וכ׳ (Rashi תּוֹרְבָּאלָא) since we translate it torbala (ox of the desert; Rashi: ‘ox of the Lebanon’?), it proves that it belongs to the class of cattle.
