פַּרְצִידָא, פַּרְצִדָא m. (v. פַּצִּידָא; ר inserted) 1) cut, trench, v. פַּצִּידָא. —2) (cmp. פּוּרְצָנָא) kernel, stone. Taan. 4ᵃ פ׳ דתותי קלא the kernel under a clod. Ib. האי צורבא לפ׳ וכ׳ … a young scholar is like the kernel &c. (v. נְבַט), i.e. when his reputation begins to spread, it spreads wider and wider.—Pl. פַּרְצִידַיָּא, פַּרְצִידֵי. B. Mets. 84ᵃ פ׳ דרומנא וכ׳ the seeds of a red pomegranate. Sabb. 21ᵃ מפַּרְצִידוֹהִי וכ׳ from its kernels they produce oil.
