נַטְלָא נַטְלָא c. (preced.) 1) a ladle or small vessel used for taking liquid out of a larger vessel, esp. for pouring over the hands before and after meals, before prayer &c. Targ. Y. Ex. XL, 31; a. e.—Ib. XXX, 21 נְטִילָא f. —2) (as a measure) one fourth of a Log. Ḥull. 107ᵃ אתקין … נ׳ בת וכ׳ R. J. ordered that a naṭla (to be used for washing hands) must contain one fourth of a Log; (Rashi: had a standard naṭla made, containing &c.). Gitt. 69ᵃ bot. נ׳ בת מחוזא a Moḥazean naṭla.—Y. Sabb. III, 6ᵃ bot. [read:] הבא ע"י נ׳ והיא … כלי שני get the hot water into the basin by means of a ladle, when it (the basin) becomes a ‘secondary vessel’ (v. שֵׁנִי; cmp. Bab.
