פְּעִיָּה, (preced.) cry, exclamation, proclamation. Tanḥ. Emor 11 (play on מאפע, Is. XLI, 24) כל הפעולות … בשכר פ׳ אחת שפּעו ישראל בסיני all the good rewards &c. (v. פְּעוּלָּה), will be bestowed for the sake of the one exclamation which Israel raised at Sinai (Ex. XXIV, 7); Lev. R. s. 27 בשביל פּוּעָה שפעיתם וכ׳ for the sake of the cry which you uttered &c.; a. e.—Pl. פְּעִיּוֹת.
