פַּעְפּוּעָא I, (פַּעְפֵּעַ I) breaking, beating.—Pl. constr. פַּעְפּוּעֵי. Sabb. 109ᵃ פ׳ ביעי וכ׳ (some ed. פיעפועי) to make ‘hashed eggs’ (of roasted eggs) is forbidden (on the Sabbath).
