עוֹרְבִי, an inhabitant of a place called ‘Oreb (v. עַרְבוּ).—Pl. עוֹרְבִים, עוֹרְבִיִּים. Ḥull. 5ᵃ (ref. to הָעֹרְבִים, I Kings XVII, 6) ודילמא על שם מקומן might it not have been men called ‘Or’bim after their place? אם כן עורביים מיבעי ליה if it were so, it ought to read ‘Or’biyim.
