עַרְבוּ, ʿArbu. Gen. R. s. 33 (ref. to הערבים I Kings XVII, 6) עיר היא … ושמה ע׳ (ed. Wil. עַרְבִי) there is a town in the district of Bethshean whose (Chaldaic) name is ʿArbu (ʿArbi, so that ʿor’bim may refer to the inhabitants of that place, v. Ḥull. 5ᵃ).
