יָדִיד, [pointed out,] chosen, beloved; chosen spot. Men. 53ᵃ יבא י׳ בן י׳ ויבנה י׳ … ויתכפרו בו ידידים the beloved (Solomon), son of the beloved (Abraham), shall rise and build a chosen structure (Temple) to the beloved (the Lord) in the lot of the beloved (Benjamin), that in it the chosen ones (Israel) be atoned for.
