זְקַר, ch.same, Ithpa. אִזְדַּקֵּר to leap forth, to leap with joy; to stagger, reel. Gitt. 57ᵃ אִזְדַּקּוּר וכ׳ they leaped and ate and drank. Nidd. 17ᵇ אִזְדַּקְּרָה she staggered, jumped backward; ib. 57ᵇ.—Lev. R. s. 5 (ref. to Is. XXII, 17, v. גֶּבֶר) כהדא תרנגולא … מִזְדַּקֵּר Ar. (in ed. a. Yalk. Is. 291 our w. omitted) like a (slaughtered) cock that rolls from place to place in spasmodic thrusts.
