Berl. גַּפָּא, v. Berl. Targ. O. II, p. 50); a. e.—B. Bath. 73ᵇ דלי ג׳ (Rashbam דליא לי גדנפא, Ms. O. גפא, v. Rabb. D. S. a. l. note 40) lifted (towards me) a wing.—Trnsf. bird; feather, plumage. Keth. 105ᵇ פרח ג׳ וכ׳ a bird flew on his head. Gitt. 86ᵃ בג׳ דאווזא with a goose feather; Ab. Zar. 28ᵃ. Ḥull. 46ᵇ we put on it ג׳ או רוקא a feather or some spittle.—Pl. גַּדְפִין, גַּדְפֵי (גִּי׳). Ḥull. 31ᵃ we see גידפי דמיפרמי that the rims of the cut throat stand apart (Rashi: that the plumage of the throat is cut through).
