שׂוּכָּא, (שכך, v. סכך) prickly bark. Sabb. 20ᵇ (expl. לכש, ib. II, 1) ש׳ דארזא the bark of a cedar tree. Ib. ש׳ דארזא עץ וכ׳ but the bark of cedar is mere wood (and cannot be used as a wick)! Answ. בעמרניתא וכ׳, v. עַמְרָנִיתָא.—V. שַׂוְוכָּא.
