קִינְטוּר, (קִנְטֵר) opposition, remonstrance; reproach. Yalk. Ex. 241 קִינְטוּרוֹ באז his (Moses’) remonstrance is introduced with אָז (Ex. V, 23).—Pl. קִינְטוּרִין, קִנְ׳. Pesik. Shimʿu, p. 117ᵇ שמעו דברי תוכחות … דברי ק׳ listen to the words of rebuke, that you may not have to hear words of reproach. Ib. דברים ק׳ (insert של or read: דברי) reproachful words, opp. נִחוּמִים; (Ar. a. Yalk. Jer. 265 קִנְתּוּרִין). Koh. R. beg. ע"י שהיה נבואתן דברי קַנְתְּרִין because their prophecy contained reproaches; a. e.—[Pesik. R., addit. s. 2 (ed. Fr. p. 197ᵃ) הקנטורים, v. קִטְרוֹן II.]
