צָמַק (b. h.) to shrink. Ḥull. 55ᵇ (expl. חרותה, Mish. ib. III, 2) כל שצָמְקָה וכ׳ an animal whose lungs are shrunk; Tosef. ib. III, 12 שצְמוּקָה ed. Zuck. (Var. שצמקה). Sabb. 91ᵃ צמקה וחזרה וכ׳ it shrank (became less than the size of a dry fig) and then swelled again. Y. Orl. I, 61ᵇ top אם צָמְקוּ if the grapes are shrunk (dried). Y. Ter.     Pi. - צִימֵּק to cause shrinking; to dry (in the sun). Y. Maasr. IV, 51ᵇ top פדייו וצִימְּקוֹ if he redeemed it (when fresh), and let it dry. Y. Naz. VI, 55ᶜ צימיקו (read: צִימֵּיקָן); a. e.—Part. pass. מְצוּמָּק; f. מְצוּמֶּקֶת; pl. מְצוּמָּקִים; מְצוּמָּקוֹת. Sabb. 38ᵃ ביצים מצ׳ eggs boiled or roasted down to a small size.
