בְּטִיטָא, (בְּטַט) cleft, grotto; ruins. Gen. R. s. 31 בהדא ב׳ דטבריה Ar. (ed. בו׳) in the grotto (or ruins) of Tiberias; cmp. אִלְסִיס.—*Pl. בּוֹטִיטָתָא. Y. Pes. I, beg. 27ᵃ בוטיתא דסדרא רבא (corr. acc.) the ruins of the large colonnade (of Tiberias); cmp. Midr. Till. to Ps. XCIII, s. v. דִּיפְּלֵי.
