    Hif. - הִבְטִיחַ to assure, promise. Ber. 17ᵃ הבטחה שה׳ the assurance which the Lord has given. Pesik. R. s. 1, beg. אע"פ שמתו המַבְטִיחִין וכ׳ though those who gave the assurances, the prophets, are dead, but the Lord who promised (through them) is ever-living; a. fr.—Part.
