*אִיקוֹנְיָא II, (pl. as a collect. noun) (denom. of אִיקוֹן) a procession in which portable images are carried. Midr. Till. to Ps. XVII א׳ של מלאכים וכ׳ a procession of angels passes before man and they cry, Make room לאיקוניה של וכ׳ (read לְאִקוֹנָיו or לְאִיקוֹנוֹת; Yalk. Ps. 670; Deut. R. s. 4 לאִיקוֹנִין) for the images of the Lord (man being created in the image of God). Deut. R. l. c. או׳ מהלכת (corr. acc.).
