חָתַת, (b. h.) to break, shatter. Ḥull. 27ᵃ (play on וז̇ב̇ח̇ת̇ Deut. XII, 21) ממקום שז̇ב̇ חָ֗תֵּ֗הוּ from where the blood flows, break it (the animal’s life); ממאי דהאי חתהו לישנא דמתבר הוא what proof have you, that this ḥottehu has the meaning of breaking?
