שָֹרַר (b. h.) to be great, to rule.
    Hithpa. - הִשְׂתָּרֵר to make one’s self lord; (homilet.; cmp. שִׁרְבֵּב) to stretch one’s self. Yoma 9ᵇ (play on מהשֹתֹרֹעֹ, Is. XXVIII, 20) קצר מצע זה מֵהִשְׂ֗תָּ֗רֵר עליו שני ר̇ע̇ים כאחד this couch is too narrow for two lovers to stretch themselves on it (Ms. O. a. Yalk. Is. 302 מהשתרע, v. שָׂרַע); Snh. 103ᵇ מִלְּהִשְׂתָּרֵר.
