שְׁכִיכָה, (שָׁכַךְ) appeasement, use of the root שָׁכַךְ. Esth. R. to I, 12; II, 1 (ref. to כְּשֹׁךְ ib.) ש׳ שאינה ש׳ it was an appeasement, and yet it was no appeasement, i.e. he was not reconciled without regret.—Pl. שְׁכִיכוֹת. Meg. 16ᵃ (ref. to Esth.
