שׁוּט I, (b. h.) [to swing, be light, move to and fro; v. שׁוֹט II,] to roam, fly, float, swim. M. Kat. 14ᵃ לָשׁוּט if he goes abroad to roam (for mere pleasure), opp. למזונות for support, להרויחא for profit in business. B.
