X, 1 ק׳ הדיוטות וכ׳ (read: הדיוטית or של הדיוטות) the inkstand of ordinary men (with a rim bent inside to prevent spilling) does not become clean by immersion until you make a hole in its side; וק׳ של יוסף הכהן וכ׳ and the inkstand of Joseph the priest (Josephus Flavius?) had a hole in its side (through which it could be emptied and cleaned). Y. Ab. Zar. III, 42ᶜ bot. הנייר … ק׳ צריכה paper and pen are considered ornamental objects (with regard to idolatrous decorations on them); as to the inkstand, it is doubtful.
