*קִיטּוּעָה, f. (קָטַע) mutilation; trnsf. (sub. בן) m. destructive, mischievous. Ab. d’R. N. ch. XL קורא אותו קרן נקוב ק׳ (not אותן) called him (who adopts the worthless and rejects the good teachings) a perforated horn (box), a ḳiṭṭuʿah; ק׳ כיצר זה תינוק וכ׳ how does a ḳ. act? Like a child to whom you give pearls, and when you give him bread, he throws the pearls away &c., and when you give him a piece of a clay vessel, he throws the bread away &c.; [Var. קַטָּע, קוֹטֵעַ, v. ed.
