צְדֵי, צְדָא ch. same , to hunt, capture. Targ. Ps. XXXV, 8 תְּצַדְיֵיה Ms. (ed. תציידיה). Targ. Prov. VI, 26 צָדְיָא Ms. (ed. צָיְרָּא), v. צוּד ch.—Lev. R. s. 34 צְדִינוּן וחבשינון בפילקי Ar. (ed. סבתינון) they caught them and put them in prison. Y. Kil. I, 27ᵃ bot. וצַדְיֵיה, v. מְצוּדְתָּא.
    Af. - אַצְדֵּי (with ל) to sport, mock, deride. Targ. Prov. XVII, 5. Ib. XXX, 17 (some ed. מצריא, corr. acc.).
    Ithpe. - אִצְטְדֵי, אִיתְצְדֵי 1) to be caught, captured. Y. Ber. I, 2ᵈ bot. אִיתְצְדִית, v. אַנְגַּרְיָא; a. e., v. צוּד ch. —2) to be exposed to ridicule. Targ. Prov. XVIII, 1; XX, 3 (some ed. מצטרי; h. text יתגלע, v. גָּלַע).
