פֶּלִאי, (b. h.) pr. n. Peli (unknown). Num. R. s. 10 (ref. to Jud. XIII, 18) שם שמו המלאך פ׳ וכ׳ there (on that occasion) his name was ‘the angel Peli’, corresponding to his mission, as he came to recommend a vow of abstinence (with ref. to יַפְלִא, Num. VI, 2).
