    Af. - אַמְתַּח same. B. Mets. 107ᵇ משום אַמְתּוּחֵי אשליהן for pulling their ropes (to drag boats), v. כַּתְפָּא. Ib. אי מַמְתְּחֵי וכ׳ (v. Rabb. D. S. a. l. note) if they can pull their ropes all along the shore, they will walk there. Keth. 85ᵃ, v. אַשְׁלָא; a. e.
