מַסָּא II, (נסא, v. נְסַח) peel, shovel for taking bread out of the oven. Taan. 25ᵃ אייתי מ׳ וכ׳ bring the shovel, for thy bread is getting charred. Bekh. 27ᵃ שקלה לה בריש מ׳ she takes the priest’s gift of the dough on the point of the shovel (to avoid direct contact).
