כּוּפְרִי I, (denom. of כְּפָר) belonging to the village, wild.—כלב כ׳ village dog, ferocious dog. Tosef. Kil. V, 8 כלב כ׳ וכ׳ a Kuf’ri dog is a species of wild beasts (not a domestic animal). Kil. I, 6 כלב הכ׳ והשועל וכ׳ the wild dog and the jackal … are heterogeneous (כלאים). Y. ib. I, 27ᵃ bot. (not כופרין). Lam.
