S. a. l. note 70) by what authority dare we suspend a cluster of dates on a sterile date-tree (and not consider it a forbidden superstitious practice)? Macc. 8ᵃ ומחייה לכ׳ (ed. לכְּבָאסָא, Ms. M. a. Rashi לכובסא) and it (the struck twig) struck the cluster.
