יָקַשׁ (b. h.; cmp. נקש) to clap, catch in a trap. Nif. - נוֹקָשׁto be entrapped. Midr. Prov. to VI, 2 [read:] נוֹקַשְׁתֶּם באמרי פיכם וכ׳ you have been entrapped through your own words (Ex. XXIV, 7), you have been caught (taken captives) through (neglecting) them.
