    Nif. - נֶחְצַב to be hewn, chiselled. Y. Yoma III, 40ᶜ bot. בקודש יֵחָצֵבוּ on sacred ground they must be chiselled.—Trnsf. (cmp. גזר) to be decided, decreed. Lev. R. s. 5 (ref. to Is. XXII, 16) ממרום נ׳ עליו from on high it has been decreed over him; Yalk. Is. 291 נֶחְצְבָה עליו גזירה.
