חֵפֶת, (חפף I, v. חִיפָּא) border of a garment (limbus), a kind of front bosom in which things can be hidden. Sabb. X, 3 (92ᵃ) ובח׳ חלוקו Ms. M. (v. Rabb. D. S. a. l. note, ed. ובשפת) in the bosom of his shirt. Yoma 77ᵇ ובלבד … מח׳ חלוקו Ms. M.
