חָסִית I, (= חססית; חסס, cmp. Ar. ḥassa) peeling plants, alliacea, leek plants. Ter. X, 10 אלא עם הח׳ (Ms. M. החִיסוֹת; Y. ed. החִיסִית) except they are combined with leek-plants. Y. ib. 47ᵇ ח׳ בח׳ מין במינו if the same species of leek plants (of T’rumah and Ḥullin) are pressed together. Lam. R. to II, 11, v. דִּמְעָה.—Pl. חָסִיּוֹת. Tosef. Ter. IX, 3 אלו הן מיני ח׳ וכ׳ (ed.
