חָלַץ, to untie, loosen, tear out; to strip, lay bare. M. Kat. 22ᵇ חוֹלֵץ one bares the shoulder (in mourning). Ib. IV, 7 (24ᵇ) חוֹלְצִין. B. Mets. 59ᵇ וח׳ מנעליו and took his shoes off. Y. M. Kat.
