זְרוֹעַ, (b. h.) arm; (with animals) fore-leg, shoulder; strength, force. Ber. 17ᵇ ניזונין בז׳ receive their sustenance from the Lord by dint of their strength (virtue), opp. בצדקה by divine grace.
