זָמַם II, (cmp. צמם) to tie up, to muzzle (b. h. חָסַם). Ber. 63ᵇ (ref. to זמות, Prov. XXX, 32, v. preced. w.) אם ז׳ וכ׳ if he muzzles his mouth (is ashamed to ask his teacher), he will have to put his hand to the mouth (when he in turn is asked). Ter.
