זָלַף זָלַף (cmp. זלח, דלף) 1) to pour, empty over. M. Kat. II, 1, sq. זוֹלֵף וכ׳ he may empty the contents of the vat into the press and finish the process &c. Y. ib. 81ᵃ bot. זוֹלְפִין את יינו they put his grapes for him into the press. Toh. X, 7 הזוֹלֵף את הבור if one empties the wine or oil pit. —2) to sprinkle. Par. VI, 2 זָלַף וכ׳ (R. S. זִילֵּף) if he used all the water for sprinkling. Ib. 3 יזלף ed. (comm. זוֹלֵף; Yoma 58ᵃ זולף והולך) he may sprinkle &c. (Bart. a. Rashi to Yoma l. c. he may empty the water into bottles &c.). Ib.
