דָּקַר דָּקַר (b. h.) 1) to dig, bore, pierce. Sabb. 110ᵃ, a. e. (explain. מי דקרין, v. דֶּקֶל) שהם דּוֹקְרִין וכ׳ because they make an opening in the bile. Y. Ned. IX, 41ᵇ bot. ודוֹקְרָהּ בלבו and sticks it (the sword) into his own heart. Gitt. 56ᵃ, v. next w.—Kidd. 22ᵇ; a. fr. —2) (cmp. דֶּקֶל) to spread, branch off.
