דְּקַר, ch.same, to stab. Gitt. 56ᵃ בעו למִדְקְרֵיה (the guardsmen) wanted to stab his body (to see whether R. Joḥ. was really dead). Ib. (Hebr.) יאמרו רבן דָּקְרוּ they (the Romans) will say, they stabbed their teacher. [Ex. R. s. 47 ודקרין, v. קְרֵי.]
