דּוּקְנִי דּוּקְנִי, (denom. of דְּקַן; adopted in Hebr.) trimming shears on a pole. Y. Maasr. III, end, 51ᵃ היתה ניטלת בד׳ if the fruit is taken off with trimming shears (by a person standing outside the garden). Ib. צור צור דּוּקְנִיתָךְ וכ׳ wrap well up (keep well thy question about) the pruner (sophistical as it is), it is better than anything (the Agadists have to say).—Tosef. Kel. B. Mets.
