גִּלְדָּנָא, (גלד) gildana, name of a certain fish with a thick fatty skin. Snh. 100ᵇ לא תנטוש גיל׳ וכ׳ (Ms. M. תפשוט) do not begin to strip the gildana from its gill, lest its skin go to ruin (a citation from Ben Sira). B.
