גַּבְשׁוּשִׁית, (גבש) heap of stones, pile, mound. Sabb. 73ᵇ. Ib. 152ᵃ (ref. to Koh. XII, 5 מגבוה ייראו) שאפי׳ ג׳ קטנה וכ׳ even a small mound appears to him (the aged man) like the highest mountains. Y. Erub. II, 20ᵃ, opp. חָרִיץ.—Pl. גַּבְשׁוּשִׁיֹּות. Y. Sot. VII, 21ᶜ שתי ג׳ וכ׳ (not … שית) they put up two mounds and named them Mount Gerizim &c.
