בְּצוֹצְרָה בְּצוֹצְרָה, (reduplic. of בצר; cmp. חצוצרה) a compartment surrounded with bars, balustrade, balcony. Midd. II, 5 והקיפוה ב׳ וכ׳ and they surrounded the cell (לשכה) with a balcony so that the women could sit above, while the men were seated beneath it; [Succ. 51ᵇ גזוזטרא, Ms. M. גזוזטראות; Tosef. ib. IV, 1 שלש גז׳]. [The variations כצוצרא, כצוצטרא &c., v. Rabb. D. S. to Sabb. 96ᵃ, Erub. 78ᵇ notes, a. Ar. s. v. גזוזטרא, are clerical errors induced by assonance with the synonymous גזוזטרא.
