    Pa. - שַׁפֵּי to quiet, pacify, satisfy. Gitt. 73ᵃ זיל שַׁפֵּי ליה go and pacify (settle with) him. B. Mets. 15ᵃ ואֲשׁפֵּי וכ׳ (Ms. H. a. R. ואֵישַׁפֵּי), v. מְרַק.—Part. pass. מְשַׁפֵּי; pl. מְשַׁפָּן. Ib. 70ᵃ דמש׳ ניכסיה (not דמשפו) one whose property is at peace (undisputed by any claimants).
