שְׂמִיכָה, a heavy cover, cloak. Lev. R. s. 23; Yalk. ib. 585; Yalk. Jud. 44 (explained סוּדְרָא, מְשִׁיכְלָא); ib. חזרנו … ש̇מ̇י̇ כ̇ה̇ וכ׳ we went over the whole Bible and could not find s’mikhah as the name of a garment, but (it is to be interpreted,) my (God’s) name testifies for her that this man did not touch her.
