שִׁלְחָא, = h. שֶׁלַח I. Men. 35ᵃ כי מיתלי ביה בש׳ וכ׳ when you hang a weight on (stretch) the leather, and it rebounds again, it is old.—Pl. שְׁלָחַיָּה. Y. Ned. VII, end, 40ᶜ כגון אילין ש׳ (ed. Zyt. שלחים, corr. acc.) as, for instance, hides (which are sometimes used for covers).
