קוֹפָא II, (cmp. גֶּפֶן) trunk, vine. B. Mets. 109ᵇ ק׳ סבא פלגא (Ms. H. קַפָּא, v. Rabb. D. S. a. l. note 6) of the trunk of an old vine (that is cut down) the gardener gets an even share with the tenant. Ḥull. 110ᵃ ק׳ סבא הוה Ar. (Ms. H. קי׳, v. Rabb. D. S. a. l. note 10; missing in ed.) it was an old trunk.—Pl. קוֹפָאֵי. B. Bath. 24ᵃ בי ק׳ (Ms. F. קַפָּאֵי) between the trunks of vines.
קוֹפָא II, that which hangs on the carrying pole. Ḥull. 111ᵃ קניא בקופיה (Ar. בקַפֵּיה) the windpipe with all that hangs on it (lungs, heart &c.).
