צוֹרְבָא צוֹרְבָא, (צְרב) mark of a burn, scab; צ׳ מרבנן one that has caught fire by associating with Rabbis (cmp. Ab. II, 10); a student of rabbinical lore. Meg. 28ᵇ אי צ׳ מר׳ הוא וכ׳ if he is a rabbinical scholar, let him recite a Halakhah, contrad. fr. תנא one who knows Mishnah. Taan. 4ᵃ, v. פַּרְצִידָא.
